Two men from Central America taught me what how much could be accomplished with hard work and a dream. They opened a pizza shop and served pasta and pizza seven days a week and into the wee hours of the night until they were established well enough that they could close on Sundays.
Two men from Central America taught me about hard work and how to serve the public cheerfully. People came into their place for more than food, they wanted a smile and a kind word. They proved how much they cared about their customers. One wise person told me that, "nobody cares how much you know until they know how much you care." When one customer had a tragedy and needed help one of these amazing men invited him into his home and served him an exquisite dish from El Salvador.
These two men are heroes of mine.
