Don't Make Assumptions

My coworker just told me about Miguel Ruiz's wisdom. One of his teachings is to not make assumptions. I remember when my friend Christian was telling me about this woman that he enjoyed spending time with. I assumed that she was a young woman who perhaps had "all the bumps in the right places" (as a lady I know likes to say). I didn't ask him for any details about this lady he was spending time with and didn't I feel stupid when I found out that she was old enough to be his grandmother.
