Glamorous

I told a fellow reformed drunk that I enjoyed sharing my story of recovery in front of an audience of more than 200 people. Hearing the applause was a thrill, and it was sort of glamorous to address a crowd of that size. His reply to me was, "glamorous for an alcoholic is not drinking for one day." Yes indeed, the gift of sobriety comes daily and the help necessary to achieve it has to be asked for.
