Family and Sobriety
A buddy of mine told me that he was sober and clean for more than a couple of years when he started drinking and drugging again. Wisely, he learned one big thing from his relapse. He needed to bring recovery home. He had failed to reconnect with his Mom and Dad during those years that he was clean and going to meetings. Years later when he got back to sobriety and freedom from his addiction again, he made a tireless effort to nurture better relationships with his parents. This has been all the difference as he lives joyfully today with a daily reprieve from a voracious disease.
