Serenity Prayer

One woman told me that after visiting a country where she witnessed youngsters who were starving she got so emotionally distressed that she couldn't eat for a week. After seeing videos of the desperation of the families in coastal Ecuador I felt that I needed to do something to help them. I realized that there wasn't very much I could do besides giving to people who I thought would be doing the best job helping the victims. I had to go back to using the Serenity Prayer, this prayer reminds me that I need to accept the things I can not change.

My other way of trying to help is to keep in close contact with my family members down there. Just so they know that they are not alone during this difficult period.
