Rocco Phelan (not his real name) told himself many lies so it's no wonder he couldn't be honest with others. Rocco was living a double life and it was killing his conscience. Guilty feelings tortured him. Every time he did something that he had promised himself that he would never do his conscience nagged at him. Because he had begun to hate the person he saw there, he refused for a long time to look in the mirror.
But the grace of God saved Rocco Phelan. By throwing in the towel, I mean, surrendering his life and will to the care of a Higher Power, Rocco's spirit re-awoke! You can recognize him today by the purposeful way he walks and the twinkle in his smiling eyes! He walks tall because he feels good about himself now. His self esteem has risen and so has his confidence.
