Wow!! There's a way for folks who are dealing with substance abuse issues to relieve the guilt they feel for the pain they've caused. A major way of relieving the guilt is to not use the substances anymore. The change will be immediate! Here's an example-- One fellow (a friend of Bill W.) said that every time he got drunk he ended up making his bed a "waterbed'. Once he stopped drinking his wife could sleep fine without getting splashed!! Wow was she pleased!
I had a funny feeling that guilt isn't always bad and now I'm learning about adaptive guilt. The way that I understand this is that this is the good guilt. It effects the changes necessary for healthy change!
I learned something new today--a painful thing like guilt can bring about a good result. This I like!!
