Evil lurks

I didn't listen much to the radio show "The Shadow" but I like the famous line from the show i.e. "What evil lurks in the hearts of men?". I'm still sort of naïve but I'm more aware than before of the presence of evil in the world. There was a man they called "Mucko' who ran amok in Wakefield. I lived near Wakefield in 2000 when he wiped out about ten of his coworkers. My response to this and other evil acts is often the same as that of Kurtz in Apocalypse Now whose last words are "The horror!! The horror!!".
