My friendly neighbor in Malden shared this story with me. As a young girl living in western El Salvador her father taught her that music can ease hunger pains. When they were without food her father took out his guitar and sang to them. Her brothers and sisters who had been crying now lifted their voices and joined their father in song. Her favorite was "Amapola".
I just wanted to write a quick story to preserve this memory I have of my life once spent in Malden.
