Strong Woman

When I heard her share her experience, strength and hope at a meeting of a 12 step support group I was given the gift of a memory that hasn't faded over the years. It was 2004 and I was a new member of a group in Malden. It was a Sunday morning and the hall was packed as I watched Netta slowly advance to the podium. Sharing her recovery story was one of the last things she would ever do. Cancer would soon take her but she didn't allow it to stop her from helping other people in recovery on that memorable Sunday!!
