Power of Choice

I know a gentleman, Jeremiah (not his real name), who spent a long time as a guest of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Jeremiah survived his years in prison and even began his recovery while serving time. He shared with me that the best advice he got from a fellow "guest of the Commonwealth" was that he must choose his companions wisely. These teachings helped Jeremiah who resolved to be the one choosing his companions and not allowing others to choose him.
