Advice from Fred Rogers' Mom was "Look for the helpers"

Whenever horrible events occur there are always helpers that come to comfort the afflicted. There are so many helpers out there! The paramedics and police who save lives daily. The chaplains who counsel people in crisis. The firefighters who run into the burning buildings when everyone else is running out.

I have been helped by so many teachers, counselors, clergymen even a few pizzamakers and their wives when I was grieving after a tragic event.

I was lost and depressed for a number of years and led back to the light by a compassionate hockey coach who took me under his wing. I have so many helpers to thank!!
