Lucky?

When I broke my finger at work four years ago I thought it was a bad thing. Now I see it was almost good luck to break it. Why? Because it sent me on a mission to learn all I could about the bones and ligaments in my hand. I find the bones of the hands and wrists to be fascinating! I also am fascinated by the way that fingers bend. To understand how my fingers bend it is helpful for me to think of there being something like a fishing line in there that is threaded through eyeholes. This image helps me to imagine what goes on in there under my skin. This is fascinating stuff to me!! To imagine the bones of my wrist I was told by a doctor to think of them being like little stones packed together. Yes this satisfies some of my curiosity and leads me to want to know more about my body.
