I couldn't turn my life around with out losing my false pride. With a kind smile on his face a wise man told me to put it "where the sun don't shine". After a while I learned to accept gratefully the assistance that was offered to me.
This reminds me of the man who was stuck on top of his roof when a flood hit his town. He rejected the help of the plethora of people who came to rescue him. He told them, "God's going to save me." He wasn't much of a swimmer and he drowned and went up to heaven where he said to God, "Why didn't you save me?". God said, "Well, I sent a number of rescuers but you sent them away.".
