I took this adventure even though I was nervous about being on a journey that would take 74 hours each way. So I'm proud of myself for doing something I had some fear about doing. Another thing that wasn't easy for me was being in a place I had never been before.
I was blessed with the guidance of a loving family. We celebrated my birthday at an outstanding eatery. And did some of the stuff one has to do when in the Bay Area. One highlight was riding on a cable car with my brother, and another was watching a fine performance by the San Francisco Bulls in the Cow Palace with both of my siblings.
A few things we did---enjoyed the sun at Ocean Beach, ate falafels in Golden Gate Park, climbed the hill at Buena Vista, chomped on fish Burritos at Berkeley. Wow! So much in so little time!
Also found some delicious bookstores in LA. As well as some tasty dumplings served in the "Little Osaka" area. I was supremely fortunate to have my brother and his wife to show me the best spots.
