Thank you MGH!

Today I want to express my gratitude to the compassionate people in the ER at MGH aka "Man's Greatest Hospital". One year ago on, of all days, Pearl Harbor Day, I was injured at work. (Work is a four-letter word! lol) I am grateful that (thanks to MGH) I still have my finger and it is working well. Since that accident I have learned how fascinating the human hand is! I was lucky no tendons were damaged. I learned that the tendons are like the line on a fishing pole and go through little eyelets to control the movement of the fingers. So the silver lining of an unfortunate event is that it caused me to become curious about the remarkable anatomy of the hand (and wrist too)!

Today I understand how lucky I am to live in the city of fantastic hospitals! From the moment I arrived at the ER at MGH I was given the kind of care that makes a person feel like a VIP.
